The Challenge of the Stars is a virtual knockout style tournament organized by the Giro d'Italia. Top climbers and sprinters compete against each other in an attempt to advance to the final round.

The Challenge of the Stars was introduced by the organizers of the Giro d'Italia in May of 2020 when cycling competition was only possible on indoor trainers. The tournament is back for a December 26th boxing day special featuring Primož Roglič, Tao Geoghegan Hart, Giulio Ciccone, João Almeida, Mads Pedersen, Caleb Ewan, Sam Bennett and more.
