The 2021 Tour of Flanders will see Greg van Avermaet still in search of his first win at the race after years of coming so close to the victory. Competing for the AG2R Citröen team, the 35 year old will be racing for his second Monument victory at De Ronde van Vlaanderen after winning Paris-Roubaix in 2017. The men race 255 starting in Antwerp. They will tackle many of the steepest cobbled climbs of the Flemish region before finishing in Oudenaarde.
Defending champion Mathieu Van Der Poel took to the startlist along with favorites Wout Van Aert and Julian Alaphilippe. Alaphilippe will be supported by teammates Florian Senechal and former second place finisher Kasper Asgreen. Greg Van Avermaet, Peter Sagan, Jasper Stuyven and Sep Vanmarcke are also favorites for the win.
