The Tour of Flanders 2025 is set for April 6. Here's a look at the history of the event and the schedule for this year's edition.
Cycling season officially is underway, and among the things for the athletes and fans to look forward to is the Flanders Classics, a series of one-day races held along the cobbled streets of Belgium, beginning in February.
Though there will be some additions to the schedule in 2025, the series traditionally has included six prestigious races. Among them, the famed Tour of Flanders, which will be celebrating its 109th edition in 2025.
Each year, the Tour of Flanders is held on the first Sunday in April, and that again will be true in 2025, this time falling on April 6.

As one of the most storied and challenging one-day classic-style races in the sport, the Tour of Flanders has earned an elevated status as one of the five monuments of cycling – the only Flemish race to receive such a distinction.
In 2025, the men’s race will kick off in Bruges, which is the largest city in the province of West Flanders, and take the riders on a 268.9-kilometer journey to Oudenaarde in East Flanders.
The women will begin and finish in Oudenaarde, with 168.6 kilometers of climbs and cobblestones in between.

The Tour of Flanders 2025 will get underway at approximately 4 a.m.ET and conclude around 10:30 a.m. on April 6.
The women’s race will begin just after 7 a.m. ET and see the winner cross the finish line at approximately 11:45 a.m.

About The Tour Of Flanders – Men
The Tour of Flanders first was held in 1913.
Four riders – Mathieu van der Poel, Fabian Cancellara, Johan Museeuw and Tom Boonen each have won the Tour of Flanders a record three times.
Van der Poel is the reigning champion and previously won in 2020 and 2022.
