Start the day in Maastricht, where Gregor thought the race was starting. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 Amstel Gold Race was held on a circuit beginning and ending in Valkenburg. 

Undeterred, Gregor finishes his breakfast and goes to the race start to find out what the riders are expecting the day will bring.

Nobody expected the photo finish that ensued. Gregor speaks to Wout Van Aert who was bemused by how narrow his victory margin was. Tom Pidcodk was pleased with his team's efforts despite clearly being frustrated by just how narrow that margin was.
