Replay: 2020 UCI Cyclocross World Cup Dendermonde
Watch the full replay of the women's and men's UCI Cyclocross World Cup in Dendermonde, Belgium. Dendermonde is the third round of the five round 2020 UCI Cyclocross World Cup.
Dendermonde is a new course in 2020. The race was nearly canceled due to high winds. The race organizer was able to alter the course as the winds calmed down, making it safe for the riders to compete.
The course was thoroughly saturated from heavy rain in the days leading up to the world cup. The rain persisted throughout the race, making the world cup a heavy race with deep mud.
The women's race was headlined by World Cup series leader Lucinda Brand, who faced off against world champion Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado, Sanne Cant, Katie Compton, Clara Honsinger, and more.
The men's race was headlined by world champion Mathieu van der Poel, series leader Michael Vanthourenhout, former world champion Wout van Aert and British sensation Tom Pidcock.
The cold driving rain and deep thick mud favored strong riders and runners, while others abandoned, finding the course too relentless.
