Caleb Ewan took his second stage victory on stage 11 of the 2019 Giro d'Italia. With no sprint stages remaining in the race, Ewan flew home that evening to begin preparing for the Tour de France. 

The 2019 Giro marked a turning point in Ewan's season. 

The Australian struggled to perfect his sprints early that season after moving to Lotto Soudal. Following his Giro success however, Ewan would go on to win three stages in his first Tour de France appearance, solidifying himself as one of the finest sprinters in the peloton.
