Sprint Opportunities & Sprint Wins

To rank the top sprinters in the World Tour, both men and women combined, we analyzed the percentage of times each racer capitalized on an opportunity to win a bunch sprint. We also looked at each racer's total number of sprint wins, and the quality of those wins.

Our results show that it takes more than opportunities to create a successful rider. Sam Bennett (Bora-Hansgrohe) in his few chances sprinting, won – and won big. On the women's side, no one can beat Lorena Wiebes (Parkhotel Valkenburg), who won half the time bunch sprinters were presented.
