All the details about the Giro d’Italia 2025, including the route the riders will take, will be revealed in a formal presentation at the Sala Petrassi of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome on Jan. 13.
Whether or not Pogacar will be in Italy to defend his Giro title still is unknown, as he likely will be choosing between the Giro and Vuelta a España as the second of the three Grand Tours he’ll be a part of in 2025.
One entry that has been confirmed, however, is that of fellow Slovenian Primoz Roglic, who now will take aim at the Giro-Tour de France double.
Roglic won the Giro d’Italia and its coveted pink jersey in 2023 but hasn’t been back to the race since. That year, he skipped the TDF and rode in La Vuelta instead, finishing third overall.
