The competition featured a captivating two-round format, comprising a seeding round and a final, with each round having cyclists do two runs, each lasting 60 seconds. A panel of five judges evaluated the runs, assigning scores based on the difficulty and execution of the rider's performance. These scores were averaged to determine the total run score.
The seeding round's average scores were used to determine the start order for the final round, providing later riders with a knowledge advantage.
