In stage 15 of the 2023 Tour de France cyclists will set off from  Les Gets Les Portes Du Soleil toward Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc for a 179-kilometer, or 111.22-mile, route. 

The Tour de France is nearing its end and at this point every second matters. 

Stage 14 was a chaotic day with a huge crash that took out seven cyclists. The race was paused for 24 minutes before the cyclists could resume the race. 

Stage 15 is critical for teams to make up for lost opportunities from stage 14's crash. There are five climbs featured in the route, three of which are classified as category 1. 

Every point earned on the ascent can make all the difference for the King of Mountain classifications. Neilson Powless has been leading the climbers with Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogačar in the top three.

Stage 15 Tour de France 2023

It will be another day full of breakaways in Stage 15 of the Tour de France. The route will start with calmly with no significant inclines. Once the cyclist begin the ascent of the first climb, Col de La Forclaz, it will be a ride full of breakaways and attacks. 

The climbs in this stage are placed close together, which means in every ascent and descent, there are multiple windows open for attacks. 

As the Tour de France is more than halfway done, the cyclists need to get points every chance they get.
