2023 Tour de France Stage 3: What To Know As Adam Yates Has The Lead
Adam Yates wears the yellow jersey in the Tour de France as Stage 3 begins on July 3. Here's what to know as cyclists leave Spain.
Victor Lafay won Stage 2 of the 2023 Tour de France on July 2 as the Frenchman beat out Wout van Aert and Tadej Pogacar to win on day two of the Tour.
While Lafay won the stage, American and Stage 1 winner Adam Yates will keep the yellow jersey for Stage 3.
Stage 3 of the Tour de France begins on July 3 at Amorebieta-Etxano in Spain as the Tour enters France. Stage 3 will end in Bayonne, France.

Tour de France Route Stage 3
Stage 3 of the Tour is the day sprinters have their chance to shine. So far, the Tour De France routes have featured extremely difficult climbs. In Stage 3 there is more space for the cyclists to make the distance at their very best speed.
The Stage 3 route begins at Amorebieta-Etxano, Spain and ends in Bayonne, France at a total of 116.44 miles. This is the first stage of the race that is classified as flat. There are four short climbs in this stage and these mostly appear in the beginning.
