What does it mean if a rider is wearing a green jersey in the Tour de France?
Green jerseys are awarded to the fastest cyclist on a particular stage - Cavendish is well known for sprinting skills and it's likely to see him riding in this jersey color.
Many more notable names will return to the course this year, including Tom Pidock and Peter Sagan. Here is the full Tour de France Start List 2023.
